Motorola Edge+ Now Official; Snapdragon 865, 108MP Camera, 90Hz Screen

Motorola’s has launched their latest series of smartphones, Motorola Edge. Under this series, Motorola comes with two models: Edge+ and Edge. Both have premium design that is only distinguished by their specifications.

Motorola Edge+

The device comes with a curved 6.7-inch FHD + AMOLED screen with 90Hz support for a smoother screen experience. In addition to the thin screen bezel, it also features a 25MP front camera at the top and a fingerprint scanner at the bottom.

Edge+ is powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset and paired with 12GB RAM LPDDR5 memory and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The phone offers a 5,000mAh battery that can charge 18W via USB-C connection. There is a 15W wireless charging function and a 5W reverse charge for users charging other devices that support Qi charging.

Edge+ delivers a rear-facing camera with 108MP primary sensor, 3MP 3x optical zoom with OIS, a 16MP ultralebar that can capture macros, and the fourth sensor is ToF.

Motorola Edge

The second introduced device comes with a Snapdragon 765G processor chip, 6GB of RAM memory, and 128GB of storage. The other difference is in the rear camera where the Edge includes a 64MP primary sensor while the rest is just like the Edge+.

The Edge has a 4500mAh battery capacity with 18W fast charging support. However there is no support for wireless charging or reverse charging as found on Edge+.

Both devices support 5G networks, stereo speakers, and running Android 10-based operating systems.

Motorola offers Edge+ and Edge respectively at $599 and $1199 per unit. Device sales are underway in the United States and Motorola will soon bring these two devices to the global market.
