Snapdragon Sound is an audio technology platform that supports all hardware and software developed by Qualcomm. Better integration between the two according to Qualcomm will provide the best audio experience regardless of the device used.
Under the Snapdragon Sound umbrella are the Snapdragon 888 chip, audio chips (QCC514x, QCC515x and QCC3056), active noise cancellation system, aptX Adaptive, aptX Voice, Qualcomm TrueWireless Mirroring, and Fastconnect 6900.
Devices that exceed Snapdragon Sound standards will have stickers outside the box confirming the compatibility they use with each other. Because of the needs of the Snapdragon 888 here, it seems that there are only a handful of smartphones on the market that support Snapdragon Sound at the moment.
