NVIDIA has officially announced a new update for anti-aliasing technology known as DLSS. This new version is officially named DLSS 2.3 and like the update, as usual, it brings some improvements.

For information, DLSS stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling. It is a technology introduced in conjunction with the launch of the NVIDIA Turing -based GeForce RTX 20 series of graphics cards in 2018.

This technology utilizes the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to render the game’s graphics. It is capable of increasing low resolution to higher resolution. At the same time, the technology can maintain the same detail without affecting its frame rate.

If DLSS 2.0 brings the use of AI to game titles that support ray-tracing, DLSS 2.3 comes with improvements on in-game movement. In addition, it also improves particle reconstruction for moving particles.

Among the game titles that support DLSS 2.3 include:

  • Deathloop
  • DOOM Eternal
  • Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 Remastered Editions

In a similar development, NVIDIA also published the Image Comparison and Analysis Tool, otherwise known as ICAT. It allows users to take up to four screenshot images or videos and perform side-by-side comparisons.
