This time around, Apple has released a design and production guide for its face masks that it uses for any company that wants to manufacture it.
Apple in a statement in the guide warned that this face shield project should be done by the professionals within the factory environment. Interestingly, Apple also offers support for anyone looking to get help with their face shield fabrication.
Also included in the guide are details of materials needed to make a face shield, as well as alternative materials that can be used. The instructions included face shield design and installation guide as soon as it is completed.
According to a statement from Apple through the instructions, this is certainly not a project that can be done arbitrarily. For anyone who can afford it, this may be one of the ways to contribute by ensuring that the supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) is secure.
