Facebook Introduces Messenger Rooms – Video Call Support With Up to 50 People

0

Video call services have become a new normal for users to stay in touch. In line with this, a number of services have grown in popularity, such as Zoom.

Most recently, in competition with other services, and making users more active on Facebook, the social giant today launched Messenger Rooms.

Messenger Rooms is a video calling service, and can support up to 50 people at a time. This has made Messenger Rooms one of the most popular video calling services – especially with most internet users having Facebook accounts.

There is no time limit for Messenger Rooms (Zoom restricts free calls for up to 40 minutes), and users can join a call even if they do not have a Facebook account .

Facebook also says that users can easily create “Rooms” from Instagram Direct and WhatsApp.

Messenger Rooms are being introduced in stages, and are expected to be offered worldwide in the coming weeks.
